What is the Quality / Price score?

The Quality / Price score is an automatic score based on the price and specifications offered by the product.
It indicates how good the product is within its price range.
It is calculated using more than 100 variables to rank laptops from best to worst.

How do we calculate it?

We evaluate 5 general aspects:

Processor
Graphics card
Screen resolution
Hard disk
RAM memory

Once these 5 scores are obtained, we introduce the price variable to obtain the final grade. Therefore, this score is not an indicator of overall quality. Even a laptop that is objectively worse than another may have a higher score if it has a better price.

Does it change over time?

This score varies over time, as new models appear on the market, with superior features, or prices change.

What does "dedicated or integrated graphics" means?

In laptops, the power of the graphics card is not always an indicator of quality. Since dedicated graphics cards are much more powerful, there are sectors where they are not important.
For example, in a gaming laptop it does. In an office laptop, it is not.

For this reason the Quality / Price score is calculated based on all laptops that share the same type of graphics card. This is done so that laptops with integrated graphics card do not have unfairly lower scores.
